Luca at 2 Weeks
Luca has turned out to be a really good baby. His first night home was his only fussy night. He sleeps for most of the night and wakes up only to eat and for a change of diaper and then goes right back to sleep. He is starting to put a little weight on and he is super sweet. We are so happy to have him here with us and we are extremely grateful for his easy going personality. (We hope it lasts!)
A little tummy time
Big brother helping to entertain. Jack has done really well adjusting to Luca. He is sweet to Luca, never complains about the attention given to him and is always ready to help out. God is Good.

Baby Boy Has Arrived!
Luca Fox was born in the early hours of Saturday morning 1:39 am. He was 6 pounds 9 ounces. His delivery went smoothly and FAST! So glad to not be pregnant and so blessed to have Luca home with us. Everyone is healthy and doing well.
We are tired and not getting much sleep but it was expected. Why do babies always wait until you get them home to become high maintenance??
Jack is handling things well. He wants to see Luca and hold him, however cannot stand to hear him cry. So basically covers his ears up and walks out of the room to get away from the noise. More info. and pictures to come. Going to try to sleep a little.
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT HAS HELPED OUT! BRANDY, SERGIO, JENNIFER, JES, MOM AND DAD...AND ANYONE ELSE I MIGHT BE FORGETTING RIGHT NOW.

A Day with the Fam.
Uncle Jerry was in Texas this week and stopped by for a visit. Aunt Jennifer and Olivia made the drive up from Austin to visit with us before Luca arrives. Here we have Uncle Jerry and the kids getting some quality playtime in together.
Both Olivia and Jack enjoyed playing with Jeremiah. We missed Tucker, Sydney and Aunt Jennifer. We need for them to move back to Texas!

These two are both waiting for their new baby siblings and spent a good while in our bedroom playing "baby." They moved the bassinet around, played baby music and brought every toy in our house to share with the pretend baby.
When I looked inside the bassinet to say hi to the pretend baby, this is what I found. One of Jack's toy soldiers! Too funny! They were talking to him and carrying him around and being so sweet and gentle.

37.5 Weeks
We are at 37.5 weeks and still pregnant. For some reason I thought I would deliver Luca early. Apparently he is pretty content inside my belly. We had a false alarm on Thursday and thought it might be the day but by 11:00 am my contractions stopped and all was calm. I saw the doctor on that day and had low blood pressure so they had me lay down and monitored me for a while. All is good. I think the low blood pressure was due to lack of sleep and a lack of food that morning. My doctor says I have "progressed." (I won't get into details or numbers as a good friend of mine pointed out that not everyone wants to know these details.) The doctor says that all is in place for our induction.
Again please ignore my goofy face in this photo... Todd had to take about 10 shots to get this one. I had the giggles and kept blinking so this was the best shot we could get without me looking completely ridiculous. As the days and weeks go by I feel sillier and sillier with my belly sticking out like it is. We took this photo right before going out to dinner. We celebrated our anniversary a few days early. Mimi and Gramps took Jack for the holiday weekend and Todd and I got a weekend to ourselves. The first night was a little strange to not have Jack here. It was really quiet and we almost didn't know what to do with ourselves. Over the weekend we ended up relaxing, playing Trivial Pursuit, finished up some before baby shopping needs, going to a movie and going out for a nice dinner. It was a nice last weekend of freedom before Luca arrives. Thanks Mimi and Gramps!

Summer Days
Mommy and Daddy have a good summer schedule right now. We are waiting for Luca and have cleared our calendars for his arrival. So while we are waiting, we are taking advantage of our time as a family of three. We have been trying to keep Jack busy so he doesn't become a TV addict over the summer. (Attempts have basically failed.) Jack goes three half days to his school where he plays with his friends and does his "works." We have kept him busy in the kiddie pool, going to the zoo, museum, library, mall, Barnes and Noble, the BU pool, the park and just playing here at home. With so much entertainment, Jack is in for a real shock once baby arrives!

Jack dressed and ready for the pool.
Ready for school on a rainy day with his rain boots. He loves wearing these and splashing in the puddles. It was a fun rain day but a bad hair day. :-)
